Privacy policy

Draft of October 15, 2026. This page is a draft: it is not yet in force, and the parts marked to confirm are still open.

This policy says what personal information [TO CONFIRM: the company's legal name] (“Final-ink”, “we”) handles, and how. It covers the website and the app.

The short version

  • We keep nothing about your clients after a review, unless you save a report, and a saved report can be read only by your firm.
  • We keep the account information we need to run the service for your firm.
  • This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics. The app loads no third-party scripts.

Information about your clients

Your firm decides what client information to add, and remains accountable for it. We handle it on your firm’s behalf, only to carry out the review:

  • Files are encrypted on your computer, opened only in memory, and deleted when the review ends.
  • Names, passport numbers, and other identifiers are removed or replaced before the AI step.
  • A report is stored only if you save it, encrypted with your firm’s key. We cannot read it.

The data processing terms say more.

Who else handles it

The companies on our sub-processors page, each for the purpose named there. We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising.

Where

The service and what it stores are in Canada. The AI step is processed in AWS data centres in the United States or Canada. Our payment and email providers may process information in the United States, and so may Telegram, which tells us on our phones when a firm signs up, and WhatsApp, if you message us there.

How long

  • Client files: until the review ends.
  • Saved reports: 12 months, or until you delete them.
  • Account information: while the account is open, and 30 days after it is closed.
  • Billing records: as long as tax law requires.

Your choices

You can see and correct your own details in the app; to change the mobile number you gave when signing up, write to us. To ask for access, correction, or deletion, or to make a complaint, write to privacy@final-ink.com. You may also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
