Terms of service

Draft of October 12, 2026. This page is a draft: it is not yet in force, and the parts marked to confirm are still open.

These terms are the agreement between your firm and [TO CONFIRM: the company's legal name] (“Final-ink”, “we”) for the use of Final-ink. The owner of a firm’s account accepts them for the firm.

1. What Final-ink is

Final-ink reviews a finished immigration application file and reports gaps, inconsistencies, and missing details for a licensed professional to consider. It is a review aid.

It is not legal advice, and it is not a complete review. A report covers the documents that were added and the checks listed on the What we check page, and nothing beyond them. It never states or suggests how an application will be decided. You remain responsible for the application and for your professional judgement.

2. Who may use it

Final-ink is for firms whose owner is a regulated Canadian immigration consultant or a lawyer entitled to practise in Canada. We check the licence against the public register before the firm reviews real files, and may check again. You must tell us if a licence is suspended or ends.

Final-ink is not offered to firms based in Quebec for now.

3. Your account and your keys

You are responsible for the people you invite and for what is done under their sign-ins. Saved reports are encrypted with keys that only your firm holds. If everyone in your firm loses their passkey, passphrase, and recovery code, the saved reports cannot be opened by anyone, including us. Keeping the recovery codes safe is your responsibility.

4. Your clients’ information

You confirm that you are entitled to use a service like this for the files you add, under your retainer and your professional rules. We process client information only to carry out the review, as set out in the data processing terms, which form part of this agreement.

5. What you must not do

  • Add files you are not entitled to share.
  • Use Final-ink to prepare or support a false or misleading application.
  • Try to break, overload, or get around the security of the service, or to read another firm’s information.
  • Resell the service or let someone outside your firm use your account.

6. Plans, payment, and cancelling

The pilot is free. After it, plans renew monthly until cancelled, at the price shown when you chose the plan, plus applicable taxes. Extra reviews are charged only up to the cap the owner sets. You can cancel at any time, and the plan then runs to the end of the period paid for. We give 30 days’ notice of a price change. [TO CONFIRM: refunds]

A review that fails because of a fault on our side is not counted against your plan.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep the service available and tell you about problems on our status page, but we do not promise that it will never be interrupted. We may change the service, and will tell you of a change that takes something away.

8. Closing your account

The owner can close the account at any time. Saved reports are deleted at once, and the firm’s account information 30 days later, except billing records that tax law requires us to keep. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.

9. Liability

[TO CONFIRM: warranties, limits of liability, and indemnities]

10. Law

[TO CONFIRM: governing law and courts; Ontario is proposed]

11. Changes to these terms

When these terms change, the owner is asked to accept the new version in the app before carrying on.
